Lease Negotiation & Acquisition

Grasslands helps our clients secure leases through a combination of careful research and excellent communication. We conduct preliminary title checks to determine ownership, then work with potential lessors in an open, transparent fashion to educate them about the possible benefits, and complete all title research necessary to prove title in a timely and accurate fashion..

Right-of-Way Acquisition

Grasslands' surface professionals locate and assess the feasibility of drill sites, research and advise on pipeline route selection, and coordinate the surveying and mapping components of any right-of-way project. We negotiate and acquire easement agreements and obtain the surface rights needed for rig or pipeline construction.

Grasslands has attorneys available at all times to provide any legal services associated with certified title opinions, actions to quiet title, partition suits and other lease and title actions in West Virginia and numerous other states. Grasslands legal department ensures that all of our landmen fully understand the regulatory framework of each and every project.
